Join us for a year worth of races, comradery, fun and health benefiting
Darke County charities!

The Darke County Wellness Challenge is a wellness initiative formed in cooperation with local businesses and lifestyle groups to make our community healthier. The challenge promotes community health and offers an opportunity for all to engage in challenges through multiple running/walking events in Darke County. Race points are earned for participation and competitive achievements, which will be accumulated at the end of the season. All the races help fund nonprofit and community organizations which in turn helps to support the needs of the community.

The Darke County Wellness Challenge committee is made up of a group of volunteers from Darke County who have a shared goal and interest to increase participation in physical activity throughout the community. The committee is a non-profit that operates solely with money provided by Darke County business sponsorship. The committee works very hard to provide the community with a great racing experience and an appreciation banquet each year. The committee would appreciate you taking the time to complete this short survey to help continue to serve you and the community better. Thank you!

 

Move In the Darke Program
MILEAGE TRACKER



In order to encourage community members to stay active year-round and between Darke County Wellness Challenge races, we have created the Move In the Darke program that enables participants to track their miles logged per month to reach a year end goal. Keep track of the miles you run, walk or swim. You can submit these miles each month before the 5th day of the following month. You can also bike but you can only submit 1/3 of your biking miles.

NOTE: These can be any miles you purposely run, walk, swim or bike for exercise, including races. Please DO NOT submit miles associated with daily life that a tracking device, such as a Fitbit, would count.

Those who log 300, 500, and 1,000 miles throughout the year will be recognized for their achievements.

Miles should be submitted by the 5th of each month for the previous months miles, including miles you do on your own and/or at a competitive event. Total miles for each individual will be posted monthly.
